The boring but important part

Bookings

  • Before making a booking, please have a read through my Terms & Conditions and make sure that you are happy before proceeding. I will always work my hardest to deliver the best possible service and what is promised and all I ask in return is that you respect the terms of my business.

  • The duration time to complete a service is an estimate, it may take longer especially if this is the first time I am working on your vehicle.

  • Any quotations made over the phone/message without me seeing the vehicle will be based on the information you provide and should be used as a guide price only. There may be some instances where I find a situation where your vehicle requires more attention than originally quoted, if this is the case then an additional fee may apply which I will discuss with you at the time., Examples of this would be excessive dog hair or large amounts of mud etc.

  • M.R Detailing is a mobile service that is able to carry out work at your home address or at your place of work. All that I require is a space adequate around your vehicle with all doors open to perform this work. Also due to insurance requirements and my own safety this means that I will NOT be able to carry out any work on a main road or in a pay and display car park.

  • Bookings are secured by a deposit of 20% of the total amount paid directly to M.R Detailing via bank transfer.

  • If you request to cancel a booking it must be made with at least 48 hours notice or you will lose your 20% deposit. (I will accept certain conditions but these will be at my discretion)

  • An initial walk around of the vehicle will be conducted before I commence any work to identify any damage to the vehicle M.R Detailing will not accept any liability for further damage caused.

  • I reserve the right to reschedule a booking for a different time/date due to adverse weather conditions or if I have equipment/van issues without penalty to the customer. I will aim to give you as much notice as possible if this occurs and rebook if necessary.

  • The client is responsible for supplying me with a power socket to plug in my extension lead. This needs to be within a 45m distance of the vehicle being worked on.

  • I am able to carry my own water in my mobile detailing van so if you do not have water on site this is not an issue. Just please inform me at time of booking.

  • The client is responsible for removing any personal belongings from the vehicle prior to me carrying out a service. I will also not be responsible for the removal and refit of child seats.

  • Upon booking I will always ask that you read these Terms & Conditions and by doing this you agree to the Terms & Conditions of my business. Any bookings that are affected by any of the above may result in you being charged the full amount of the service which will be sent to you by invoice to the email address you supplied at the time of booking. Any failure to pay the invoice may result in legal action being taken. Missed bookings mean the business taking a financial loss which I will not accept in any circumstances.

  • If you are booked onto my Maintenance Scheme then this will require that I see your vehicle no more than 2 months at a time. Any longer than this then I deem it too far and it will no longer qualify for my maintenance scheme until another deep clean has been carried out.

Payments & Invoices

  • Invoices are due within 24 hours of the service being carried out, after this a 10% late payment will be applied and for every 24 hours period thereafter.

  • Some grace will be given to any work carried out for a car dealership due to it having to go through the accounts department. Any invoices not paid within 7 weeks of issue will occur an admin fee equivalent to 15mins per day @ the rate of £5 per day until the invoice is paid.

Insurance

  • M.R Detailing is covered with up to £1million Public Liability Insurance. Proof of this can be provided if necessary.

  • My garage location is private land so this allows me to move your vehicle around no problem.

  • I am unable to offer a collect/drop off service at this time.

Ceramic Coatings

  • The Ceramic Coatings that I use are made by Carbon Collective. They have specific guidelines to applying and maintaining the coatings throughout their lifespan on your vehicle. These guidelines can be found on the Carbon Collective website.

  • Each coating has a different lifespan which I will inform you of at time of booking at a reminder on job completion.

  • Coatings require a minimum of 12 hours to initially cure, this means the vehicle has to be kept indoors and out of the elements to allow this to happen. Please bare this in mind when booking as it will mean I will need the car to be kept with me for a little longer.

  • The coatings also continue to cure for a further 7 days and in this time the vehicle can get wet but it cannot be washed.

Caring for your Ceramic Coating

  • On completion of the work I will ask you for an email address in which I can forward onto you some aftercare instructions which will help you to look after the vehicle properly.

  • If you are looking after the vehicle yourself and you do not follow the guidance set out by either myself I will not responsible for the coatings not lasting their specified timings.

COVID 19 CONTROL MEASURES

  • I currently have a no cash policy when it comes to payments. I will only accept card or bank transfer at this time.

  • Vehicle handovers will be conducted maintaining social distancing measures. (In most cases there wont be any need to come into contact with you from when I arrive to when I finish)

  • Vehicle keys will be left in an agreed location on arrival and departure

  • Vehicle keys will also be cleaned before returning them to you

  • I will always wear gloves when working on your vehicle (this is something that I do normally anyway to protect my hands from the chemicals that I use)
